Dance-theater Home Run is a professional modern/theater company based in Deventer, the Netherlands, directed by its founder Carla Veldhuis, who established her team in 2001. Dancers have come to Home Run from around the Netherlands seeking to be connected with a community of artists that share a common vision and desire. The mission of Home Run is to perform an excellent and vital work that speaks to the heart with relevant meaning and redemptive hope.
Home Run has toured across the Netherlands and in Belgium in 2018, in large events ( 8000 visitors and for smaller audiences. Their performance has received outstanding reviews with each event. The team consists of 12 dancers and actors including 3 choreographers: Nataja Hoogendijk (trainees-coach) and Job van der Wal (Mighty Impulse Movement) and Carla Veldhuis. The team includes 6 professionals and 6 trainees. Besides Carla’s role as a producer, she is especially a storyteller; she loves to show the stories of God’s love and beauty through dance and drama.
